Istria is a Croatian peninsula rich in historical, cultural and natural sights. Although the coast of this peninsula is developed and at most interest to the tourists, it is important to know how and the inner part exudes in rich and important monuments.


Each of the places in the interior of Istria (Pazin, Buzet, Grožnjan, Hum, Motovun, Oprtalj, Roc, Žminj, Višnjan) carries its own story and its attractions important both for tourism and for the whole of Croatia.

Pazin is the administrative center of Istria County and Kaštela – medieval Pazin fortress is the biggest attraction of this town. For lovers of active tourism, a walking trail St. Simon.
